Children & Families Worker – St Stephens Community Church
 
About St Stephens Community Church: We’re a bunch of ordinary but extremely diverse people seeking to know God and make Him known. We love to see people come to faith in Jesus; apply God’s Word to life; be trained and equipped; and we’re committed to reaching out beyond ourselves to build bridges into the community, help other churches and support God’s work overseas.
 
The Opportunity: We a seeking someone to join our leadership team to oversee the delivery and development of a dynamic and growing Children and Families ministry.
The key areas of engagement will be:
·         Discipling Children – To nurture faith in children and help them grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ through enjoyable and engaging learning experiences.
·         Building teams – To grow and train teams of leaders and helpers to effectively carry out the Sunday ministries and associated discipleship opportunities.
·         Connecting with families – Develop good relationships with parents and provide opportunities for children to share their faith and serve and encourage their families
 
Hours & Remuneration: This is a paid role of 20 hours per week at $19 per hour. Additional allowances also included.
 
What we’re looking for: We will be looking for someone who love’s Jesus, has a passion for children’s ministry, good leadership skills, creativity and administration ability.
